Susan and Matt are engaged!
I had a great time working with Susan and Matt on their engagement shoot a few weeks back. We started out in the park in Olmsted Falls before moving on to Huntington for some beach shots. We got some great detail shots on Matt's uniform. I really enjoy the concept of engagement photography because you have a lot more time to get creative without the tight schedule of a wedding day to deal with. Congratulations to you both!

New discounts for the remainder of the 2009 season!
Ask me about how you can save $400 when you book a standard wedding package for any of the remaining dates of the 2009 season! You can view my standard price list by clicking here. Generally, waiting till the last minute is not a good idea, but in this case it could pay off...

Michelle and Perry
Recently I had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Michelle and Perry at Sapona Country Club outside of Lexington, North Carolina. In spite of the weather earlier in the day, we had a great day! A half an hour before the ceremony was to start, the rain stopped, the sun came out, and it was beautiful for the whole rest of the day! The golf course made a great background for our photo walk, although in this case it was more of a photo ride. We took a couple of golf carts out to a few spots I had scouted the day before.

Congratulations to you both!!!

Congratulations to Laura and Peter
Congrats to Laura and Peter who were the top bidders for one of my wedding photography packages at the Art Fur Animals auction, a benefit for the Friends of the Cleveland Kennel! They got a great deal and together we raised a sizable sum of money for the Kennel, so it's all good. The couple assures me that their wedding will definitely not be traditional, and I am really looking forward to working with them this fall!

One of the high points of the evening is when several ceramic dogs are auctioned off which have been decorated by local artists. Many of the statues have been cut apart and put back together again in differing poses, adding to the uniqueness of the artwork.

Virtual Tour
Here is a beautiful home in Rocky River that has a lot of room to spread out. It features a new patio, enclosed porch and recently updated kitchen. The front entrance is spectacular. To view the tour, click here. If you are looking to buy or sell a home, I highly recommend Ed Herman and Mark Campbell at Overture Real Estate Services. These guys are top notch agents!
Raptor photography
A few weeks back one of the photography groups that I belong to, MPEG hosted a field trip to Back to the Wild, a raptor rehabilitation center in Castalia OH. Mona Rutger and her group are doing some fine work there, rehabing injured birds and educating the public. We got some great close-up shots of the birds that are unable to be re-released into the wild. Birds that are to be released are not to have any contact with people. Next we headed over to Gerold's Old Dutch Tavern in Sandusky to see the eagles nest out back.
